Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing financial reports, and supporting overall accounting operations. This role is essential in ensuring the financial health and compliance of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Record day-to-day financial transactions using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) Manage accounts payable and receivable Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Maintain general ledger and ensure proper classification of all transactions Process payroll and maintain payroll records Assist with budgeting and forecasting Support year-end audit and liaise with external accountants or auditors Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant (1+ year preferred) Proficiency in accounting software Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
