We work closely with clients across a variety of industries (retail, construction, salons, legal firms, service businesses, etc.) to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial record-keeping.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team and help deliver high-quality bookkeeping services to our clients.

Role Description



This is a full-time on-site role. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, account reconciliations, reporting, and compliance tasks for multiple client accounts. You will ensure that transaction data is accurately entered, accounts are up to date, and reports are ready for review by senior staff and clients. You will also liaise with clients to collect information, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper documentation.

Key Responsibilities



Record daily financial transactions (sales, expenses, receipts, payments) Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts monthly Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Monitor cash flow and i.e., ensure that receivables and payables are in order Assist with month-end / year-end close tasks Participate in "catch-up" bookkeeping engagements (when clients are behind) Communicate with clients to obtain missing documents, clarify transactions, and answer bookkeeping questions Maintain confidentiality and security of client financial data

Qualifications & Skills



Preferred

Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or related field (or equivalent experience) Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Understanding of accounting principles Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to learn new software/tools and adapt to change
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.80-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Work Location: In person
