We are looking for a Bookkeeper whose responsibilities include:
Prepare, review, analyze and take full ownership for financial statements and address inquiries and issues with Manager
Coding, entering, verifying and reconciling transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll
Posting journal entries and reconciling accounts, preparing trial balance of books and maintaining general ledgers
Completion and submission of tax remittances GST, PST and WCB returns
Performing bank and inter-company reconciliations
Ensuring that the company is complying with the Canadian Tax Act
Developing reports as required or for future use within the organization
Preparing year-end reports for external accountants
Keeping financial records and establishing, maintaining and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized systems
Full Cycle Accounting
Work with and supervise junior accountants
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
2-5 years of accounting/finance experience, data entry and bookkeeping is an asset
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices including recording, analysis and reporting financial information
Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel as well as other Microsoft Office applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in Xorosoft and Quickbooks accounting software is an asset
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
Highly detail-oriented
Ability to work both independently, with little supervision and within a team environment.
Able to use previous experience and technical knowledge to analyze an issue
Strong time management, planning, and organizing skills

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
