Position Overview
Aquiform West is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our growing company and Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, the chosen candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude to learn, and knowledge in basic accounting concepts. Location: Aquiform West Head Office, 19296 25 Avenue, Surrey, BC, V3Z 3X1
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am - 3:30pm, with flexibility
Key Responsibilities
Daily processing of invoices and payments to vendors, correctly coding invoices to general ledger accounts and maintaining documentation.
Processing of company credit cards and employee expense reports, reviewing mathematical accuracy, proper coding and appropriate support; making adjustment as necessary.
Preparation of cheques, bill payments, and wires for payment-runs.
Review and reconcile vendor statements.
Periodic reconciliation of general ledger accounts including prepaid assets and accruals.
Support of month-end close process, year-end audits and corporate and commodity tax filings.
Support cashflow forecast, providing insights on future payment requirements.
Ad-hoc reports/improvement projects as necessary.
Key Qualifications
Experience:
2+ years of experience performing Bookkeeping responsibilities or similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles and practices.
Skills & Attributes:
A personable, approachable, and patient personality who is comfortable working both collaboratively and independently.
Self-starter who possesses a curious mind and is motivated to learn and share knowledge.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience in Microsoft Dynamics/NAV considered an asset
Education:
Post-secondary education in accounting is considered an asset.
