Job Description

ServiceMaster Restore of Sarnia specializes in emergency and reconstructions services for residential and commercial properties in Sarnia and surrounding areas. We provide immediate response for property damage due to wind, fire, water, vandalism, and mold. This position reports to the owner and is responsible for managing financial records of the company.

Primary Responsibilities



Financials

Accounts Payable: Code and post invoices to proper accounts within QuickBooks. Ensure expenses are allocated to proper jobs. Reconcile monthly supplier statements. Report and resolve any discrepancies. Issue payment to vendors. Accounts Receivable: Invoice insurance adjusters and clients in a timely manner. Accept and monitor monthly payments. Code and post payments to proper accounts. Ensure proper filing Monitor aged payable and receivables. Follow up on collection of overdue accounts. Prepare and complete Bank Deposits and attend at bank if required Print monthly reports - Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Income Statement, General Ledger and file in binder for year end Reconcile Bank Statement and Credit Card statements Monthly. Review Bank reconciliations with owner. Submit Royalties monthly on ServiceMaster website Process Payroll Biweekly. Perform payroll administration duties including set up of employees within the accounting system. Monitor payroll items. Input employees time within QuickBooks, coding to the correct account and items. Record employee vacation and attendance. Report excessive absence. Maintain confidentiality of personnel, company and client information

Submit Source Deductions Bi Weekly Monthly Submit WSIB Quarterly Submit HST Monthly Quarterly Submit EHT Monthly If required, as required Prepare Record of Employment as required Submit Corporate Taxes - Monthly or Quarterly as per accountant's schedule to Government

Skill and/or Experience Required



Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment. Proficient in QuickBooks Experience with Word, Excel and Outlook, plus the willingness to learn other internal systems and software's Ability to engage clients, deliver excellent service, and build and maintain strong working relationships Highly organized, strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task Strong time management skills
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
