Job Summary
As a bookkeeper you will be reporting to the HR & Finance manager providing administrative, financial, personnel and clerical support. The successful candidate must be a reliable professional with experience in a fast-paced, high volume office setting, who is able to multi-task and adapt to evolving priorities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for recording financial transactions, maintaining financial records and reconciling bank statements.
Balancing and prioritizing accounting reconciliation and financial reporting.
Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
Maintain, prepare, and manipulate Excel spreadsheets.
Receive and respond to emails.
Data entry / Filing / Organizing files.
Updating ledger entries and ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with auditing processes.
Responsible for the timely and accurate closure of month-end financial processes
Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data for reporting purposes.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Conduct periodic financial audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with established procedures.
Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure adherence to financial standards.
Provide support during external audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
Generate financial analysis reports to aid in decision-making processes.
Handle ad-hoc financial projects as assigned by management.
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in financial operations.
Other administrative tasks as required.
What you offer:
Highly organized and adaptable with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
1 to 2 years of office administration experience.
2+ years of bookkeeping with accounts receivable experience preferred.
Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles.
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Outstanding reliability, attendance and punctuality.
Highly adaptable; can work efficiently autonomously or with a team.
Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, Outlook is required.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to problem solve.
Detail oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
Ability to handle multiple priorities while meeting specific deadlines.
Preference given to those who have experience with Sage Intacct and QuickBooks.
