The Windsor Agricultural Society is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Bookkeeper
to support our operations, which include the annual Hants County Exhibition. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, working collaboratively with our accounting firm and supporting our office with daily financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online
Record and reconcile all income, expenses, and bank transactions
Process accounts payable and receivable
Perform bank and account reconciliations
Prepare monthly financial reports for leadership and board review
Support payroll processing and employee reimbursements
Support annual audit preparation and liaise with external accountants
Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations and internal policies
Maintain organized digital and physical financial files
Qualifications
Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a nonprofit setting
Proficiency in Quick Books Online
Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Degree or certification in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
