Job Summary


We are seeking a part-time detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our small property management team. This position will be a remote position (work from home) although the incumbent should reside in or close to Winnipeg as it will be necessary to meet face to face periodically. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, working with our hotel General Manager to manage accounts payable and receivable, preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting data. This role involves setting up sales and use payments in Minnesota (similar to PST in Canada) which will be taught to the incumbent. The successful applicant will have a strong background in bookkeeping, bank statement reconciliation processes, high degree of proficiency with QuickBooks Online, have excellent attention to detail, and have good communication skills.

Responsibilities



Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks Online Work with General Manager to ensure accounts payable and accounts receivable are processed efficiently Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to ensure accuracy of financial data Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements using QuickBooks Prepare monthly shareholder reports and distribute via email Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies Support audit preparations by organizing relevant documentation and records

Skills



High level of proficiency with using QuickBooks Online Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes Ability to perform detailed account analysis and account reconciliation tasks Knowledge of payroll processing and related regulations Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Strong communication skills for reporting and documentation purposes

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
