Job Summary



We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring

compliance

with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in accounting software Quickbooks and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, as well as

legal and fiscal knowledge

. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of business. Paid by hour, 3-8 hours per week or on call, depending on business needs. Work life balance. Work from home / Remote for most of time.

On site collaboration may be required from time to time

.

Responsibilities



Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions using accounting software

QuickBooks

. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payment and collection of invoices. Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies as needed. Conduct bank reconciliations to verify that bank statements align with company records. Prepare financial reports including account analysis and budgeting forecasts for management review.

Contact and deal with CRA

on behalf of the business. Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies. (TBD) Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and support overall business operations. (TBD)

Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.


Requirements



Proven experience

as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an accounting environment. Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks is essential. Proven experience dealing with CRA for Small Business is essential.

Proficiency in English or French is mandatory, multi-language skill is an asset.

Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, payroll processing, etc.

Excellent communication skill. Able to explain accurately accounting and fiscal terms and rules in plain language.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Strong analytical skills with the

ability to interpret financial data

effectively. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines.

Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
