About the role
We're a small, growing service business seeking an experienced
Bookkeeper
who thrives in a hands-on, multi-entity environment. You'll manage day-to-day bookkeeping in
QuickBooks Desktop
across
three corporations
(two are holding companies), oversee Accounts Receivable, and provide practical insights that improve small-business financial efficiency.
What you'll do
Accounts Receivable:
Create/post invoices, apply payments, collections on A/R aging, and
process customer credit-card payments
when authorized.
Deposits:
Prepare and record bank deposits; maintain accurate cash receipts logs.
Reconciliations:
Reconcile three bank accounts monthly
across three corporations; handle inter company entries and balance related accounts.
Month-End:
Journal entries, accruals, and clean, audit-ready files.
Reporting & Efficiency:
Produce A/R aging, cash-flow snapshots, and P&L by entity; spot process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
Compliance & Support:
Assist with HST filings, year-end prep, and liaise with external accountant.
What you bring
3+ years
small-business bookkeeping experience.
Advanced QuickBooks Desktop
(multi-company files).
Strong Excel
(lookups, pivots, filters, data cleanup).
High attention to detail, confidentiality, and follow-through.
File HST/CRA remittances, payroll, job-costing/service industry.
Process payroll via third party provider (Payworks), including T4's and WSIB.

Work setup
On-site in our Mississauga office
; part-time (e.g., 2-3 days/week).
Flexible daytime hours we can set together.
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
