Professional proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing

2+ years of bookkeeping experience in Canada
Strong understanding of
Canadian and USA bookkeeping practices
, including:
Accounts payable & receivable
Bank and credit card reconciliations
General ledger maintenance
Expense categorization
Experience with
QuickBooks Online
Working knowledge of
GST/HST
Ability to prepare books for
CRA-compliant year-end reporting
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Proven ability to handle
confidential financial information
Assets / Nice-to-Have
Experience working with
Canadian small businesses or startups
Experience handling
international transactions and foreign suppliers
Familiarity with:
Payroll processing (CRA payroll accounts, T4/T4A preparation support)
Expense management systems
Multi-currency bookkeeping
Experience working with
Chinese manufacturers or overseas vendors
Fluency in
both Cantonese and Mandarin
Comfortable working in
English-based accounting systems
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly
Record and track invoices, bills, and expenses
Manage A/R and A/P
Assist with
GST/HST tracking and reporting preparation
Prepare monthly financial summaries for management review
Coordinate with external accountant for year-end filings and CRA requirements
