We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires proficiency in the accounting software QuickBooks to facilitate efficient bookkeeping processes.
Duties
Maintain and update financial records using accounting software QuickBooks
Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to vendors.
Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow effectively.
Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts
Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies
Contact customers via phone and email to collect outstanding payments
Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to billing and collections
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Managing and processing payroll accurately and on time for all employees
Maintaining payroll records and handling payroll-related inquiries
Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Respond to inquiries from management regarding financial data and reporting.
Experience
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role is required.
A minimum of 4 years with QuickBooks
Experience processing payroll for employees, including handling deductions, tax filings, and compliance with federal & provincial regulations.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Familiarity with accounts payable processes is advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and external stakeholders.
