Bookkeeper Part Time, Full Time

Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of bookkeeping for the multiple clients, including but not limited to:

- Full Cycle bookkeeping
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable, including A/P payments
- Processing payroll and ensuring accurate payroll tax calculations
- Conducting account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records

- Year-end working papers preparation

Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a bookkeeper in bookkeeping firm or construction
- Expert skills in Sage 100 Contractor, QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Dext

- Construction industry reports, WIP, project management reports, subcontract management, project accounting, statutory declarations
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Experience with bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Payroll & Benefit Administration and processing, payroll tax calculations, payroll remittances, WCB Filing
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

- GST Filing

- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Manage multiple client's deadlines

- Fast paced environment

- Fast, efficient, available to work independently with minimum supervision

- Processing detailed bookkeeping entries

- Typing speed 50 words per minute minimum

Qualifications:

Must have 5+ years of experience working in a bookkeeping firm or construction industry

Requirements:

Valid driver's license and own vehicle.

Education:

- Accounting Diploma (2 year program)
