Bookkeeper
to join our team.
Position Summary
We are looking for an
experienced Bookkeeper
to manage our day-to-day accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have
strong experience with QuickBooks Desktop
, excellent financial acumen, and a thorough understanding of bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger management. This role is critical to maintaining the financial health and accuracy of our business while ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries
Manage
QuickBooks Desktop
: account setup, transaction recording, account classifications, and reconciliation
Conduct
weekly bank reconciliations
Prepare accurate and timely
financial reports
, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Prepare documents and financials for audits and tax filings
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulations
Collaborate with management to support decision-making with reliable financial data
Utilize
Microsoft Excel
and other
Microsoft Office programs
for reporting and analysis
Qualifications
5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
(preferably in a small to mid-sized business environment)
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop
(not just QuickBooks Online)
Strong skills in
Microsoft Excel
(formulas, pivot tables, etc.) and other MS Office applications
Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and practices related to accounting functions
Experience with bank reconciliation, payroll processing, tax experience, and financial report writing is highly desirable
Experience with technical accounting concepts such as debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation, and balance sheet preparation is essential
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of bookkeeping tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and financial analytical skills
Experience in inventory-based or parts-related businesses is a huge plus
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively within deadlines
