Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves managing financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring accurate account reconciliations. Based in Leamington, Ontario, this position is 100% remote, offering flexibility while supporting a small and collaborative office environment.
Responsibilities:

• Process and code Accounts Payable invoices for office expenses and shipping, ensuring accuracy and timely bi-weekly payments.

• Manage Accounts Receivable functions, including cash applications, account reconciliations, applying credits to accounts and following up on credit applications for new customers.

• Perform weekly bank reconciliations to verify payments and ensure account accuracy.

• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 and intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, to manage financial data.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to support daily financial operations.

• Monitor and address discrepancies in financial records as needed.

• Provide timely updates and reports to management regarding financial activities.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar accounting software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes.
