Job Description

Robert Half is actively looking for a Bookkeeper. Do you have experience working with A/P, A/R, General ledger, and financial reporting? You may be the right candidate for this Bookkeeper role. Do not miss this long-term contract / temporary opportunity to work as a Bookkeeper in the Kanata, Ontario area.

Major responsibilities

- Organize a structured method to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; define bookkeeping policies and procedures

- Maintain quality historical records by filing documents

- Examine payments received and record deposits

- Produce financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information

- Maintain and balance general ledger

- Care for accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions

- Reconcile accounts by rectifying entries
- BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred

- Previous experience using accounting software

- Adeptness in Sage Intacct

- Invoice Processing experience

- Process Payroll experience preferred

- Proficiency in bank reconciliations

- Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Previous experience as a Bookkeeper preferred
