Eager Beaver Moving Inc. is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper in office, Monday - Friday (full-time, 40 hours a week).

About the Role

As our Bookkeeper, you'll play a key role in keeping the financial side of the business running smoothly. You'll handle everything from payables to payroll and monthly reconciliations, working closely with our CFO and operations team.



What You'll Do

You'll take full ownership of the day-to-day financial operations, including:

Recording daily transactions and completing full-cycle A/P and A/R Processing EFT and online payments, managing vendor relationships Completing monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Preparing month-end and year-end financials, working with the external accountant Administering bi-weekly payroll (hourly and salary) through ADP Workforce Now Managing benefits and RRSP plan administration Preparing and submitting GST filings, WCB reports, and payroll remittances Tracking employee hours, vacation, sick time, and leaves Ensuring accurate billing and addressing customer billing inquiries Assisting with compliance, year-end audit prep, and other related duties as needed

You'll be the go-to person who makes sure everything adds up, deadlines are met, and the numbers tell the right story.



Who You Are



We're looking for someone who:



Has full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll experience (50+ employees) (ideally 5+ years) Knows QuickBooks Online and ADP Workforce Now inside and out Has solid knowledge of bookkeeping principles, reconciliations, and reporting Has a high degree of honesty, ethics, and discretion in handling confidential financial information Understands small-to-medium business operations, hands-on and practical Is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities Communicates clearly and positively, with both the office and field teams Enjoys being part of a team, but can work independently and take initiative Is tech -savvy, open to new technology including AI tools to make work efficient Brings a sense of humor and calm to busy days (we appreciate that here!)

Preferred Qualifications

Degree, diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Payroll Administration PCP designation (or working toward it) is an asset Experience managing bookkeeping for a small or medium-sized company Familiarity with Dext, Hubdoc, or other document-capture systems
