Bookkeeper
to manage our financial records and ensure accuracy in all accounting processes.
Position Summary
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting daily accounting operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring the company's financial integrity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Driver Settlements
Calculate and prepare
accurate
driver statements for payroll and trip settlements
Verify trip sheets, mileage, fuel receipts, and border crossing documentation with
close attention to detail
Process employee payroll in compliance with company policies and applicable legislation
Maintain detailed payroll and deduction records to ensure all information is correct and up to date
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Record and process vendor invoices, ensuring
accurate entry and timely payments
Reconcile customer accounts and follow up on outstanding receivables
Manage and reconcile fuel cards, tolls, and other fleet-related expenses with
a meticulous eye for accuracy
Financial Recordkeeping & Documentation
Maintain and update general ledgers and accounting files with
complete accuracy
Prepare bank reconciliations and monthly financial summaries
Maintain and organize company documentation and files related to financial transactions, statements, and records
Review all entries and reports for consistency, accuracy, and compliance before submission
Assist with preparing financial reports and supporting documentation for management
Compliance & Administrative Support
Ensure all bookkeeping practices comply with CRA and U.S. tax reporting standards
Work closely with management to support audits and regulatory filings
Maintain confidentiality and
accurate, detailed financial documentation
Qualifications
Minimum 2-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (transportation industry experience preferred)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll practices
Excellent attention to detail
and accuracy in all financial work
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or equivalent)
Strong organizational and time management skills with a
focus on precision
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment without compromising accuracy
Diploma or certification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field
