We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in QuickBooks Online (QBO), fund accounting, and nonprofit financial operations. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting grant tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
Track and report on restricted and unrestricted funds in accordance with fund accounting principles.
Assist with budget preparation and financial reporting for grants and programs.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Support audits and ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations.
Collaborate with program staff to ensure proper allocation of expenses.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
Proficiency in QuickBooks (desktop and/or online).
Strong understanding of fund accounting and nonprofit financial management.
Knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit compliance standards.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with tax accounting and related compliance requirements.
