Bookkeeper Accounting - Remote posting

We are a consumer packaged goods company looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on, and constructive individual to join our team as a full-time bookkeeper.

Remote Work: Work From Home

Preferred Location: Toronto

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm EST

Compensation: Salary & Medical and Healthcare, RRSP Matching Contribution after probation

About the Role

The main activities you will perform will be:

Perform daily accounting tasks for purchasing and sales

Provide AR requests and processes, including sales orders, revenue tracking and financial report generation.

Review all documentation provided verifying accuracy.

Reviewing accounting records, booking adjustments, post and pay invoices

Review and complete the month end for Management review.

Prepare quarterly report for review for Management review

Prepare reports for Management as requested

Cash management, cheque runs and wire payments per agreed terms or as directed.

Financial analysis regarding sales, business segments, profit margins

AR collection from customers

AP for vendor payments

Improve the current business model with suggestions and cost saving ideas.

Human Resources

Submission of payroll and commission

Track employee vacation requests and allotment

Qualifications

5+ years of accounting experience

Preferred College or University graduate with diploma or degree.

Detail oriented, self self-starter, and a keen ability to learn on your feet.

Experience in MRP/ERP

Proficiency of QuickBooks, Microsoft applications and excel

Prior experience in AP and AR management in QuickBooks

Prior experience using Payroll system

Compensation Package

Annual salary $48,000 based on experience (up to $52,000)

Annual bonus based on company and personal performance.
