Key responsibilities and expectations:

Accurately record financial transactions into accounting systems. Track invoices, payments and overdue accounts while maintaining strong vendor and client relationships. Investigate and recommend actions to resolve accounts payable/receivable discrepancies. Compile data and prepare reports as required by Financial Controller and management. Adhere to the high ethical standards, policies and procedures of Selkirk Signs. Represents Selkirk Signs positively and professionally in all interactions with our customers, internal and external.

Knowledge and Skills

Educational background in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. 2-4 years experience in a similar role. Administrative and customer service-related experience. Familiarity with the general principles of accounting. Proficiency with ERP systems, MS Office programs and spreadsheet applications. Excellent data entry skills with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, communication and planning skills; collaborative and team oriented. Organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize and manage time effectively. Excellent creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Self-directed, able to set priorities and meet deadlines. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and use it to full advantage.

Additional information

Wage Range: $24.00-26.00/hr, negotiable based on experience General Working Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday - Friday with a 1-hr lunch and 2-20 min breaks. Full benefits after completing probationary period. RRSP matching opportunity after 1 full year. Opportunity to join Selkirk Signs' Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP) after 1 year.
