About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Health Services Manager or delegate, the Booking & Registration Clerk contributes to the effective operation of the Respirology Clinic by assisting in the general organization and patient flow and efficiency of the area. The booking clerk performs clerical and administrative duties following hospital policies and procedures while maintaining a high standard of maturity and discretion in handling confidential matters. The booking clerk will schedule patients for clinics visits, contacting them via phone or mail as required, with their appointment information.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

• One-year Administrative program, or Grade XII plus one-year related experience required
• Medical Terminology course preferred
• Experience using PHS and STAR, preferably in an ambulatory care setting; Advanced PHS training preferred
• Computer experience (Windows, MS Office) and typing/keyboarding are required Minimum of 40 wpm with accuracy
• Customer service courses an asset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Co-ordination, organization and decision making abilities must be present
• Ability to function independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to work in a high volume and high-pressure setting
• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

• Permanent Full-time, 100% FTE, 70 hours biweekly

Compensation and Incentives

$20.09 - $21.91 hourly
