Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Booking Clerk, Diagnostic Imaging to join the Radiology-Ultrasound Team at Sechelt Hospital in Sechelt, BC. Apply today to join our team!
As a Booking Clerk working with the Radiology-Ultra Sound department you will:

• Support the delivery of client care and ensure client/family needs are met.
• Utilize computerized systems as well as considerable tact and diplomacy to schedule and book clients for a variety of diagnostic imaging appointments.
• Perform duties including;

• receiving requisitions for exams,
• organizing appointment times with clients, physicians offices, nursing units, and technical team members,
• rearranging schedules to meet changing demands/requests,
• preparing and confirming client information, entering booking and client information into applicable computerized and/or manual booking and client information systems,
• making follow-up appointments, filing requisitions for all bookings, and maintaining appointment and waitlist statistics.

• Also, provides other clerical support such as reception duties, responding to enquiries and requests for release of report information, filing, and photocopying/faxing.

ABOUT SECHELT HOSPITAL
Sechelt Hospital is an acute care, 46-bed facility located in Sechelt, British Columbia and serves over 30,000+ residents of the Lower Sunshine Coast. Sechelt Hospital provides a full range of services to the community, including Emergency care, Renal program-community dialysis units, Mental Health and Substance Use Services, surgical services, birthing for low-risk pregnancies and imaging services.
Qualifications
Education & Experience

• Grade 12, two (2) years\' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge & Abilities

• Ability to type 45 wpm.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
