As a Back of House Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and food service areas. This position requires a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to meal preparation, food handling, and overall kitchen efficiency.
Responsibilities
Assist in food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including equipment and storage spaces.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and catering events.
Utilize knife skills for meal preparation, ensuring precision and safety in cutting techniques.
Participate in inventory management, including receiving deliveries and stocking supplies as needed.
Adhere to food safety regulations to ensure the health and safety of all customers.
Experience
Previous experience in the dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
Background in food preparation, cooking, or food service is highly desirable.
Experience working in a restaurant or kitchen environment is beneficial.
Familiarity with culinary techniques and food industry standards will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
Strong knife skills are essential for efficient meal preparation.
