We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and mechanics, with hands-on experience in a dealership environment. This role requires proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various vehicles, ensuring adherence to safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools for diagnostics, repairs, and installations. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and recommend necessary repairs. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and develop effective solutions. Assist in training junior technicians or apprentices as needed, sharing knowledge of best practices in automotive repair. Keep accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a dealership setting is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks. Mechanic experience is highly desirable, with a focus on diagnostics and troubleshooting skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and provide updates on vehicle status.
