Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities



Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor before starting repairs Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including: + Chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, fuel and hydraulics using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
Refinish equipment using industry-standard paint equipment, facilities and materials Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems including structural, brake and electrical systems Diagnose and repair electronic and electrical systems Installation of new truck accessories Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications



1 year of experience as a Body Shop Technician Valid Class 5, prefer 1 OR 3 Driver's License with air endorsement Fabrication & welding experience required Aluminum welding is an asset Superior mechanical aptitude with an in-depth knowledge of heavy duty truck repairs Strong computer skills Detail-oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities in an unsupervised environment Effective problem solving skills

Compensation Rate



$25.59 - $51.17 per hour Pay rate will be determined based on previous experience, relevant certifications and apprenticeship level
