Job Summary



Our Delta, BC location of Zodiac Hurricane Technologies has an immediate opening for Boat Assemblers in our Production Department. These positions are permanent, full-time working Monday through Friday starting at 6am with opportunities for overtime.

We are seeking individuals with a positive mindset and an attention to detail to join our team. Candidates must be willing to work hard in a fast-paced team environment and under pressure to meet deadlines with the ability to lift a minimum of 25 kgs. Electrical, gas, plumbing or carpentry experience is an asset, but not a requirement. Hand tools and safety footwear are required.

If you are eager to learn, training will be provided. Tasks include assembly of various components by hand to complete a product that meets ISO 9001 quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities



Reading and following drawing instructions for assembly and building of a boat Using hand tools and power tools to complete work and tasks assigned with time restraints in mind Ensuring the boat is assembled within the standards of workmanship and meeting quality requirements Following and understanding the direction and instructions of supervisors and team leaders while working independently and collaboratively with fellow team members, supervisors, and engineers Attaining daily quality and delivery targets through standardized work Following company standard requirements and adhering to policies and procedures on safety and quality protocols Maintaining a clean and orderly work area Completing paperwork as needed Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the manager and/or supervisor

Qualifications and Requirements



Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently Have a mechanical aptitude Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English Strong organizational skills and the desire and ability to learn new things Capable of problem solving and decision making Familiar with the use of basic hand and power tools Experience assembling and building products using hand and power tools is an asset Electrical, gas, carpentry or plumbing experience is an asset, but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with the capability of lifting a minimum 25 kgs (55 lbs) on a regular basis Experience working in manufacturing or construction environments is an asset Steel toe work boots are required Own set of hand tools are required
