Seeking collaborative, developmentally-focused, enthusiastic professionals for our growing multidisciplinary private practice. The Affinity Specialized Developmental Group Inc. (aka Affinity Group or ASD Group) is a newly created multidisciplinary private practice in Halifax where families can access a range of assessment and intervention services in the context of a single office.
Current ASD Group team members include highly skilled and passionate professionals - including psychology, behaviour therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, and learning coaching. Our Behaviour Interventions Team (BIT) is an invaluable part of our clinic - providing neuroaffirming behavioural support to children and families in-office, at daycare/school, and in-home. Because of the tremendous demand for these services we are actively seeking qualified BCBAs to join our team. We have a team of talented behaviour therapists, some of which are pursuing their BCBA and currently collecting supervision hours.
Some of the benefits of working as part of the ASD Group team:
Modern, bright, accessible, family-friendly office space
Work-life balance is priority - associates create their own schedule - availability for weekdays, evenings, and/or weekends, as well as in-office and virtual options
Multidisciplinary and collegial atmosphere - we engage in regular consultation and knowledge-sharing, team service provision (e.g., groups, shared assessment responsibilities), and supervision of more junior/novice professionals. As well, several of our team members offer services in French.
Strong community partnerships with local hospitals, universities and colleges, and schools, as well as with community resources/organizations such as child welfare, Autism NS, and the First Nations community.
Clinic activities supported by Google Workspace and Jane practice management software. As well, our behaviour team uses Catalyst for data collection, as well as a growing library of assessment, skill-building, and curriculum tools (e.g., ABLLS, VB-MAPP, etc.)
Regular and ongoing professional development opportunities subsidized by the practice. Recent PD offerings have included ABA, autism, ADHD, and fetal alcohol spectrum disorders.
And so much more!
