Role Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced BMS Software Test System Automation and Simulation Engineer to join our automotive team. In this role, you will be responsible for the seamless integration of the Battery Management System (BMS) software with the SIL (Software-In-the-Loop) testing platform, while developing and implementing automated testing solutions. Your expertise will contribute to the validation and verification of the BMS software within the SIL environment, ensuring its functionality, reliability, and adherence to industry best practices.
Responsibilities

  • Testing Platform Integration:
  • Develop and execute strategies for seamless integration of the BMS software with the SIL testing platform, addressing any integration issues or conflicts. Ensure compatibility and functionality throughout the integration process.
  • Build, configure, and maintain the SIL testing environment, including integrated BMS software, battery model simulators, and hardware/software simulation tools. Replicate real-world automotive environments for accurate testing. * Test Automation:
  • Implement and enhance automated test frameworks and tools to streamline the integration and testing process. Improve efficiency, facilitate regression testing, and ensure reliable and accurate results.
  • Integrate test automation into the build and deployment processes, fostering continuous integration and continuous testing (CI/CT) practices for efficient and effective testing.
  • Define comprehensive test guidelines that provide a clear understanding of the test platform\'s functionality. Identify the optimal tools for script coding, test plan generation, maintenance, and report generation.
  • Consider integrating JAMA or other suitable tools to facilitate test run updates and reporting. Ensure effective communication, documentation, and traceability of test results.
  • Collaboration and Improvement:
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in test automation and SIL testing. Apply this knowledge to improve testing practices and enhance automated testing frameworks and tools.
  • Collaborate with the test team to define test data, test models, and test environments required for automated testing. Ensure the availability of appropriate resources for comprehensive testing.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to software engineers and test engineers regarding the integration process and best practices. Support the team and other stakeholders in leveraging the test platform effectively.
  • Document the test platform architecture, integration processes, and guidelines for knowledge sharing and maintainability. Foster collaboration and ensure the scalability of the testing infrastructure.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A master\'s degree is a plus.
  • Strong Python skills
  • Fluent in at least one of system-level programming languages: C, C++, Rust
  • Experience with embedded systems
  • Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, electrical circuits and basic circuit design and analysis
  • Fluent of software fundamentals including software design, operating system, and compiler
  • Experience with CI/CD/CT
  • Experience of Linux
  • Experience of low-level driver and firmware development is a plus
  • Knowledge of BMS system is a plus
  • Knowledge of build system is a plus
  • Knowledge of CAN is a plus
  • Experience of automotive toolchain is a plus
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot integration issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
