Salary Range:

The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $12,671 to $22,360, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each


posting.

Job Summary:

Blended Learning Teacher - Grade K-6


0.20 FTE continuing contract, starting September 2, 2025 or upon completion of the posting process.


Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience at the Elementary level.




This is a multi-grade, multi-subject posting that will require teaching both blended (synchronous) and online (asynchronous) classes for Kindergarten to Grade 6 learners. Experience with online learning management systems and fluency with educational technologies is a requirement for the position. Outdoor Education, Forest School, or arts-based experience would be considered an asset.


This position will have a home base of Kootenay Discovery School in the community of Fernie. This is a distance learning school.


The schedule for this position is still to be determined. Please note that all work will be on site.
