Foremost has an immediate opening for a Sandblaster located at our facility in Lloydminste

r, AB

Responsibilities:

Operate and service all equipment associated with sandblasting Use sandblasting equipment with specified media Prepare components to be protected from abrasives Conform to quality control standards and construction specifications, drawings, sketches, layout boards etc. and/or verbal instructions Read, understand and follow working instructions/directions, policies and procedures Report status of jobs in progress and upcoming production plans Maintain frequent contact with QC and Production to ensure all blasting requirements are met Follow the company safe work procedures and legislated safety requirements Keep a clean work environment Comply with all WHMIS and environmental regulations regarding the storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials Assist painters and insulators when needed and any other job-related tasks

Qualifications:

Minimum 2-year oil storage tank internal and external blasting experience Sandblasting experience would be an asset NACE Coating Inspector level I/II/III would be an asset Familiarity with tank, vessel and pipe coating Ability to calculate values in Metric and Imperial Ability to give and take clear direction; verbal and written Hand tools required WHIMIS, H2S, Fall Protection, Confined Space Training
