BizTalk Developer

We are seeking one or more

BizTalk Developer(s)

to work collaboratively with project teams to plan and execute (build, test, document, and deploy) required integrations between various systems across multiple projects within a

clinical healthcare environment

.

The successful candidate may be responsible for

all aspects of the development lifecycle

, including requirements gathering, planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation. Alternatively, the candidate may support the team by focusing on specific phases of the lifecycle such as development, documentation, or support activities.

Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, documenting, and maintaining integration services for various healthcare-related projects. This includes designing and developing point-to-point and enterprise integrations to support interoperability between multiple clinical and business systems.

On a day-to-day basis, the candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, clinical SMEs, project managers, and technical teams to ensure requirements are met and solutions are delivered effectively.

Tasks and deliverables include, but are not limited to:

Developing

HL7 v2x integration applications

that meet business requirements while maintaining data integrity and adhering to healthcare standards and best practices Developing

non-HL7 integration applications

as required Designing, developing, documenting, installing, and configuring integration applications within the

MS BizTalk Integration Engine

environment Collaborating with stakeholders (Business Teams, Project Managers, Project Teams, SMEs) to ensure successful solution implementation Completing assigned development and maintenance tasks including service requests, releases, incidents, problem resolution, and documentation Monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting integration applications to maintain high system availability Working directly with customers to gather requirements and present integration solutions Guiding integration development using

Microsoft BizTalk Server 2013/2016/2020

, SQL Server, and related technologies Managing technical scope and client expectations Analyzing existing integration solutions and updating or creating solution documentation Reviewing developed solutions and transferring knowledge to integration and support teams

Preferred Requirements

HL7 v2x & BizTalk Experience (Healthcare)

Demonstrated experience developing

HL7 v2x interfaces using Microsoft BizTalk Server 2013/2016/2020

in a

clinical healthcare setting

, including:

Specific BizTalk Server versions used Duration of experience with each version Scope of integration work and systems integrated HL7 v2x message types used Candidate's role and responsibilities

Preferred Experience:

3+ years

HL7 Message Types

Demonstrated experience using the following HL7 v2x message types in a healthcare environment:

ADT - Patient Demographics and Visit Information RDE - Pharmacy Orders ORU - General Lab Results (Discrete Values) ORM / ORU - Lab Micro Orders and Results SIU / ORM / ORU / MDM - Surgical Bookings and Case Records ORU - Radiology Results MDM - Clinical Documentation

SQL Server Integration

Demonstrated experience integrating

Microsoft SQL Server

with

BizTalk Server 2013/2016/2020

, including:

Use of SQL adapters and stored procedures Data validation and transformation Performance tuning and troubleshooting

Mandatory Requirements

Education - A University degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, a related discipline, or a recognized Information Technology certification from a community college.. IM/IT Experience-A minimum of five (5) years of Information Management / Information Technology experience. HL7 & BizTalk Experience A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience developing HL7 v2x interfaces using Microsoft BizTalk Server Communication Skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
