The Courtyard Oshawa is a fully redesigned hotel connected to the TownePlace Suites Oshawa and the Harmony Event Centre located just north of Highway 401. The Bistro is a place for Courtyard Guests to Eat. Drink. Connect. It is open for Breakfast and Dinner.

The successful candidate will be guest focused with an eye for detail, while working toward Sunray Group's goal in providing consistently outstanding value to our guests and setting a standard for service in our industry.

You will be responsible for;

Taking orders from the wait staff and preparing food according to customer preference Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and order Monitoring and managing cooking tools and ingredients Making adjustments to accommodate clients with specific diet and health concerns Setting up the work station Developing recipes that comply with company policy Preparation, cooking, and handling of foods as per the menus & hotel directives Experience in using different cooking tools, equipment, and utensils Expert knowledge of various cooking methods and procedures Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Understanding of food preparation techniques Able to withstand long hours of standing, bending, and moving around Ability to follow recipe instructions Full availability- including days, evening, weekends, and holidays. One year experience preferred in a similar setting Preferable a culinary graduate or student
