Perform a variety of routine and complex tasks related to the installation, servicing, and calibration of therapeutic, diagnostic, or life-sustaining biomedical instruments. This position manages day-to-day operations, collaborates and maintains positive relationships with clients, contributes to colleague development, and acts as a communication link between hospital executives and Christie Innomed's office. The Biomedical Site Lead also ensures that our services comply with regulatory standards. This position includes a hands-on component providing general biomedical support.



Key Responsibilities




Leadership and Technical Knowledge


Apply technological knowledge and experience to oversee site operations. Perform daily repairs and planned maintenance. Lead and supervise available support technicians. Manage customer contact and keep the Regional Sales Manager informed about contract developments.
Key Performance Measures


Manage service operations functions such as service contracts and resources. Document labor demand, parts demand, contracts, labor, and parts usage. Respond to inquiries and collaborate to identify root causes of technological or procedural issues. Manage inventory of workshop supplies. Oversee daily operations, ensure open work orders are prioritized, and preventive maintenance inspections are properly documented.
Account Management and Development


Build and maintain relationships with clients using interpersonal and conflict management skills. Effectively collaborate with customers and vendors to develop win-win solutions. Manage financial performance.

Job Requirements




Required Qualifications


Associate degree in Biomedical Engineering required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 3 years' experience in a hospital clinical engineering department, preferably with leadership experience in a clinical setting. Experience creating budgets is an asset. Technical certifications such as A+, CBET, CRES, CLES, or CCE are a plus. Ability to obtain Biomedical Equipment Technician certification from the International Certification Commission is required.
Specific Requirements


Ability to manage a facility's equipment fleet independently. Experience with Microsoft 365 applications. Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and their various functions. Knowledge of electronic circuits. Electronic troubleshooting skills. Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and illustrated part drawings of biomedical instruments. Ability to work in a sterile environment if necessary. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays if required. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Ability to maintain neat and accurate records. Working knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Proficiency in email, database management, spreadsheet, and word processing applications. Ability to perform basic financial analysis and calculate budgets, revenues, and costs. Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
