As a crucial member of the Clinical Learning and Simulation Centre (CLSC), and reporting directly to the Director of the CLSC, the Biomedical Engineer Technologist is responsible for testing, maintenance, repair, and inspection of various equipment. This role ensures compliance with regulatory and university standards while supporting simulation education by planning, developing, and managing diverse technologies and simulation environments. Key responsibilities include providing technical direction for simulation operations, maintaining and repairing medical equipment such as manikins and clinical training systems, and conducting preventative maintenance to uphold quality standards. Additionally, the Biomedical Engineer Technologist will work and assist in leading a team of Simulation Operations Specialists in leading 3D printing initiatives, contributing to the development of custom simulation aids, task trainers, and training tools. The Biomedical Engineering Technologist also offers technical support and instruction to users of the CLSC, advising on necessary equipment updates.
