DUTIES
**NOTE: Subject to review by the Joint Job Evaluation Committee**
The biomedical engineering simulation technician will work closely with the Nursing Resource and Simulation Center Coordinator and faculty from the BScN and HCA programs, providing advice and support in using patient care simulation equipment and operating the nursing lab. The biomedical engineering simulation technician will manage equipment (defibrillators, IV pumps, lifts, beds) including: multi-media, computer, and other related resources used in patient care simulation exercises. In addition to this, the technician will be responsible for the setup, routine maintenance, clean up and day to day operations of the Nursing Practice Resource and Simulation Centers at Thompson Rivers University.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide technical assistance and oversee lab and simulation equipment (defibrillators, IV pumps, lifts, beds) including: preparation, implementation, software installation and configuration, routine maintenance, programming, performance testing, certification, and safety monitoring of full-body patient simulators (software and hardware).
