Our mission is to deliver high-quality education to high school students.

We are looking for passionate, energetic, and responsible individuals to teach the Ontario high school curriculum to students in Canada and other countries, specifically for Biology and Chemistry for both, Grade 11 and Grade 12.

The applicants should be comfortable, easygoing, and creative when teaching teens so the students learn in a fun environment. The work will be remote. All your interactions with the students will be recorded to satisfy the Ministry of Education's requirements.

Qualifications:

Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) (preferred) Canadian Citizen or Canadian Permanent Resident (required) Experience teaching Science, Biology, and/or Chemistry courses (preferred) Familiarity with the Ministry of Education Curriculum and Growing Success Enthusiastic, flexible, highly responsible; able to motivate and inspire students Familiarity with Moodle and Video conferencing solutions

Teach the Ontario High School Biology (SBI3C/U, SBI4U), and (maybe) Chemistry (SCH3C/U, SCH4U) courses at a high level of proficiency Assess and identify students' individual learning needs Keep students engaged using a variety of teaching techniques: lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations Assign and mark homework Evaluate and review the progress of students and discuss results with students and parents Live online instruction hours will vary (it doesn't have to be every day of the week). Some courses will not have any live classes.
If there is a need for course development, it will be paid separately as a flat fee. Teaching the courses live will be paid per hour taught at the rate specified in this job posting, with prep/admin time paid at 2/3 of that rate.
