Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Front of the House Manager, Shift Supervisor, the Bingo Server/Cashier is responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures within the Casino. They are responsible for making each guests dining experience an enjoyable and positive experience. The Bingo Server/Cashier is also responsible for conducting and reconciling money transactions in an accurate and timely manner. Emphasis must be placed on exceptional customer service, as the Cashier will be conducting transactions directly with customers. Attention to detail is required for balancing purposes at the start and end of each specified shift. All necessary precautions are required to ensure the safety and health of customers and ensure that safe work practices are adhered to at all time.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide excellent guest service consistent with Company's core service standards and brand attributes.
Ensure all items required at service station are in place prior to the start of, and end of each shift.
Balance sales receipts at the end of each shift.
Assist the Supervisors with maintaining all Bingo inventory control levels to meet business volumes.
Ensure all AGLC, casino and other provincial or federally mandated laws, policies and procedures are understood and adhered to at all times.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with all guests, food and beverage staff and other casino staff.
Must report to work on time and in a clean uniform.
Must maintain proper hygiene and grooming at all times.
Communicate to the Bingo Supervisor any issues that may require assistance to remedy.
Attend meetings and training programs when required.
Take food and beverage orders from guests and accurately enter items into the POS system.
Accurately and efficiently serve food and beverage items to guests.
Ensure the cleanliness of working area is maintained at all times.
Education and Experience:
Requires a high school diploma
A valid Alberta Pro Serve Certificate.
1-2 years experience in cash handling and as a server in a fast paced environment.
Experience working with POS systems is required. (an asset)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and strong verbal and written communication skills are required in order to promote and deliver impeccable service and standards at all times.
Organizational skills are required as well as attention to detail.
Ability to work and thrive in a team oriented environment, and be able to function independently also.
Ability to work in a physically demanding area and be familiar with a high-volume, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Must be available for shift-work.
Must be able to stand or work on feet for long periods of time.
Must be aware of and able to work in a smoking environment.
May require lifting weight of up to approximately 50 lbs.
