AECOM is looking for a Billing Specialist to assist the Finance Services team of the DCS and Consulting Services Group. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement to include a combination of office and remote schedule and will be based in Markham, ON.
Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepares, reviews, and issues accurate customer invoices in accordance with company policies and contractual terms
  • Verify billing data, contracts, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor billing schedules and ensure invoices are submitted on time
  • Track, resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, or errors in coordination with project managers, finance and clients
  • Maintain organized billing files, records, and client account information
  • Process adjustments, credits, and rebills as required
  • Generate billing reports and provide analysis to management as requested
  • Assist with month-end and year-end activities related to billing
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and industry regulations
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Bilingual: Fluency in English and French, both oral and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in Billing and Cost Analyst a plus.
  • Prior Experience with Federal and Joint Venture Billing is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Experience building and maintaining strong internal relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, completeness, and thoroughness.
