We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Billing Specialist with expertise in financial analysis, customer service, and dispute resolution to join our dynamic team. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and analyzing invoices, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet both business and customer requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties
Handle customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner via phone and e-mail.
Address customer complaints, providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within specified time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
Initiate disputes with carriers on behalf of customers.
Review and analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of information entered.
Educate customers on best practices to avoid additional charges.
Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must have
Adherence to laws and best practices regarding dealing with customers and data.
Comfort with handling numbers and processing financial information.
High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel) and ER software (JDE or other).
Prefer to have
1 year of experience as a Billing Specialist.
Experience in the Freight/Logistics Industry, particularly in LTL or Courier services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
