Position Summary:



The Billing and Collection Assistant is directly responsible for performing data entry and related duties in posting accounts receivable payments. This includes maintaining ledgers, credit balances, and resolving account irregularities. The candidate will also administer refunds, adjustments, and any other accounting transactions related to A/R management. This position involves diplomatic interaction with customers to provide billing information and support to facilitate swift payment of invoices due to the organization.

Responsibilities

:

Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage rental billing system. Strong knowledge of collection regulations and fair credit practices. Must possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information and monetary transactions. Experience in gathering data, compiling the proper information. Able to perform moderate to complex account reconciliations. Strong diplomatic, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to handle late payments and delinquent accounts. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains. Proficiency with Microsoft office 365. Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude. Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills. Excellent teamwork and team building skills. Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills. Helping in the showroom with sales and customers. Willing to work Occasional Saturday.

Job Knowledge or Work Experience:



1+ year experience in a billing or accounting position is an asset. 1+ year rental sales experience is an asset.

Education

:

We are open to considering candidates with little or no direct experience but technical training or post-secondary diploma or certificate in a related field would be an asset.
