Role: Bilingual Senior Financial Analyst
Job Summary: As a Business Partner to our Operations teams, the Bilingual Senior Financial Analyst ("SFA") is critical in delivering accurate, timely and relevant financial information to assist the business in making correct decisions. Managing multiple sites, the SFA collaborates with Finance leadership and colleagues, General, District and Branch Managers to drive process and performance improvements at the operational level. Roofmart's National Support Centre in Brampton, ON is the hub that provides share service support to multiple branches and legal entities across Canada. As part of the National Support Centre, this role is one of several Senior Financial Analysts and Financial Accountants working jointly to provide financial support to our branches. The role reports to the Assistant Controller.

Job ResponsibilitiesFinancial oversight of multiple branches, ensuring accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial records and information at each site
Prepare weekly and ad hoc operational reports for review with leadership
Monitor and review operational processes, providing feedback and guidance to operations teams with varying degrees of financial acumen
Conduct analysis as appropriate to assist operational management in better understanding their results and provide insight into improved decision making
Prepare monthly, quarter end and annual financial statements for sites and legal entity
Conduct monthly reviews of financial results with operational and financial leadership
Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency across all locations
Lead the annual business planning process for the branches under the SFA's responsibility
Provide accounting guidance as needed, knowing when to consult with management to identify potential concerns
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure constant knowledge sharing and consistency among sites
Work closely with Financial Accountants to ensure areas under their responsibility are seamlessly integrated into operational results
Support year end audits and tax filings
Work closely with Quebec entities
QualificationsUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), designation obtained or imminent
Proven experience at a minimum 3-4 years of full cycle accounting
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
Accounting for retail operations an asset
Accuracy and attention to detail
Experience with end to end financial close processes
Experience working with ERP systems (Prophet 21, MS Dynamics an asset)
Advanced MS Excel skills (e.g. Pivot Tables, VLookups)
French is required on this position

Ability to work effectively and appropriately with different management levels, both mid-level (Branch Manager) and senior leadership (General Manager)
