We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring that each child's individual needs are met.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes learning through play and exploration. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children. Assess and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues while promoting effective communication. Collaborate with other educators to create an integrated approach to teaching that supports diverse learning needs. Manage classroom behavior effectively while encouraging positive social interactions among students. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and individual progress reports. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential. Bilingual skills in English and French are highly desirable. Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff. Proficient computer skills for classroom management and lesson planning purposes. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a busy classroom environment. Demonstrated leadership qualities that inspire confidence in students and colleagues alike. A genuine passion for teaching young children and fostering their development is essential for success in this role.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 13 months

Pay: $25.25 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
