Overview:



The Operations Manager provides support to the Executive and Management team in various capacities to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency of all programs. They engage in creative problem solving, planning, project coordination and follow-up with particular focus on maximizing resources and enhancing/improving organizational operations.

This position works a permanent weekday schedule of 35 hours per week, as scheduled by the Executive Director, with expected flexibility to accommodate the needs of the organization.

What will you do:



Contributes to the review, update and development of organizational level plans, policies and procedures.

Works as part of the management team during monthly meetings to network, problem solve common concerns and advance the work of the organization.

Acts as a representative of the organization at various meetings, committees and events as directed.

Aids the Executive Director in the research, development and submission of various applications and processes.

Oversight and management of the organization's website and social media sites.

Coordinates, plans, organizes and/or attends job fairs and other promotional events.

Organizes, attends and participates in various events, projects and tasks of benefit to the organization's strategic vision, goals and operational needs.

Oversees that the organization complies with its obligations and commitment in providing a safe and healthy environment in all programs for all clients and staff. This includes ongoing awareness of OHSA regulations, policy review and development, JHSC, bi-yearly safety scan process, etc.).

Holds JHSC Certification and co-chairs the committee as an employer representative. (training will be provided if needed).

Acts as the agency lead for HIFIS working in partnership with the DNSSAB HIFIS Coordinator regarding the implementation of the platform in relevant programs to ensure quality assurance in statistical data collection.

Monitors and manages all staff level security clearances (new applications, renewals and terminations) within OLISS/Correctional Services clearances.

Lead contact with the Crisis Centre's I.T provider for all programs. Works with the Program Supervisors to ensure employees have access to the hardware and software required to perform their job effectively.

Assists the Program Manager in program development.

Jointly manages the organizations statistical portfolio.

Qualifications:



Degree/diploma in related discipline.

Minimum of 2 years management experience.

The ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues that arise in operational processes.

Demonstrated ability to lead and influence individuals and teams in the context of change, towards a vision/mission.

Strong IT abilities.

Ability to chair meetings.

Well-developed presentation skills.

Exemplary verbal and written communication skills; excellent consultation and change management abilities.

Exemplary emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated professional behavior and respect for boundaries in a diverse work environment

Excellent judgement, problem solving skills and strong decision-making ability.

Must be self-directed with the ability to manage a portfolio of projects independently.

Proficient in word, excel, PowerPoint. Training can be provided.

Strong attention to detail.

Valid driver's license, use of personal vehicle with compensation is required.

Bilingualism is required.
