Are you an Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Specialist in Markham who can work in a fast-paced environment with an established company?

Our client was founded in the late 1980s and is headquartered in Hong Kong and is a publicly traded company performing 60 billion in revenues and employing over 14,000 employees in over 130 countries around the world!

Advantages
- Salary is range is ideally up to 55K but may consider a little higher;
- Year-end bonus up to 15% of your salary;
- Location is Highway 7 and Warden in Markham - it is best that you can drive - an underground parking pass will be provided;
- 9 to 5 pm Monday to Friday with a 1-hour lunch;
- Annual salary review;
- Full Benefits Package including vision care;
- Up to 3 weeks vacation and 6 sick days/year;
- Weekly, the team goes out for lunch.

Responsibilities
Accounts receivable (AR) function:

  • Checks accuracy of invoices and other documents or records
  • Prepares banking slips for cheque deposits
  • Maintains accurate customer payment receipts and records
  • Issues credit notes and other related documents
  • Helps to prepare month-end and year-end AR schedules

Accounts payable (AP) function:
  • Inputs data to prepare schedules
  • Processes and updates payments/expenses
  • Prepares payment vouchers
  • Verifies accuracy of vendors' statements and invoices
  • Helps to prepare month-end and year-end AP schedules
Qualifications
  • Diploma/Certificate in Accounting or related field
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience
  • Some working knowledge of common accounting software will be an asset.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal + written); fluency in Mandarin.
  • Strong organizational, multi-task and time management skills; attention to detail
  • Proactive and quick to learn.
  • Works effectively in a multicultural and dynamic team environment.
