The Job
This posting is for a Bilingual Intake Phone Assessor(s) position based either from the Barrie or Hunstville Intake offices. The incumbent will report to the Intake Service Manager and will have primary responsibilities for handling telephone intake responsibilities for the Society, completing initial assessment and documentation on referred cases. This is a CUPE Local 5319 Bargaining Unit position.
Competences
Diplome d'etudes postsecondaires dans un programme de service social ou diplome equivalent. Experience de travail avec des populations a risque est un atout.
Une connaissance profonde de la gestion de cas de protection de l'enfance et la Loi sur les services a l'enfance et a la famille.* Capacite averee a evaluer avec precision les risques en fonction des informations concernant l'admission.* Aptitude demontree a evaluer et soutenir les personnes en situation de risque.* Excellente communication interpersonnelle, orale et ecrite.* La capacite de bien gerer son temps et de travailler sous pression.* Comprehension et capacite de travailler avec une collectivite diversifiee.* Il est important de bien comprendre les valeurs et les principes de lutte contre l'oppression*. Il faut obligatoirement etre bilingue (francais / anglais); les competences seront testes.*
Qualifications
Post-Secondary diploma in a Social Services Worker Program or related degree/diploma. Experience working with at-risk populations is an asset.
Ability to accurately assess risk based on intake information.
Demonstrated ability to assess and support people in risk situations.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Strong time management skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
A thorough understanding of anti-oppression values and principles
An appreciation of and ability to work with a diverse community.
Bilingualism (French/English) is required, proficiency will be tested.
Remuneration
Le salaire, qui varie entre 56 559$ et 69 783$, selon experience, est dote d'un ensemble d'avantages sociaux genereux, de vacances et d'allocations pour des absences autorisees.
