About this opportunity
The opportunity is based on site in Mississauga, ON with our long-term partner, M&M Food Market. At M&M Food Market, their goal is to help customers succeed at mealtime and to help fellow team members succeed in their work. Your role will ensure consistency and accuracy between our English and French assets across our platforms as well as help bring this corporate mission statement and our corporate values to life.

Our Graphic Production Artists and Designers are the creators behind the many flyers seen by consumers across the country. A GPA will utilize their talent to generate, format and assemble electronic layouts for print and digital media in both English and French. With a strong foundation in computer graphics and working knowledge of programs such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects, a GPA will have the opportunity to produce flyers, POP and digital signage that help retailers reach their target consumers.

This position is responsible for overseeing electronic layout of bilingual print media that includes determining the elements required for the page layout. The incumbent will determine the text, artwork, colours, file types and formats to produce the flyer and/or POP that are aligned with the customer\xe2\x80\x99s requirements and Company standards.

What you will do

• 75% production and 25% design
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite Applications
• Input required graphic elements such as artwork, copy, etc;
• Produce templates for page layouts in collaboration with the design team;
• Ensure projects are created to specification and produce proofs for approval;
• Format all files to print and digital standards;
• Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.

What you have to offer

• Degree (or work experience equivalent) in computer graphics, design and print production;
• 3-5 years experience as a Graphic Layout/Production Artist and Designers;
• Strong knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
• Working knowledge of the Prinergy workflow
• Solid understanding of the Mac Operating System (OSX);
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills;
• Retail Flyer Graphic Production experience an asset;
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to perform under pressure and demonstrated leadership skills, working well within a team environment;
• Detail-oriented.
• Bilingual (English and French) is required/an asset.
