Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated

Bilingual ESL-Certified Professional

to join our team on an independent contractual basis. The role involves teaching both online and in-person classroom sessions using pre-developed materials through D2L Brightspace. In addition to lesson delivery, the teacher will provide support to learners and foster an engaging, inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver ESL lessons online and in-person using D2L content. Facilitate interactive learning and support student engagement. Provide constructive feedback and track learner progress. Leverage bilingual skills to support learners in both English and a second language. Maintain professionalism and reliability as an independent contractor.

Requirements

ESL Certification (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent). Proficiency in English and second language. Experience in teaching, tutoring, translation, or other bilingual roles. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Comfortable using digital tools and remote communication platforms.

Terms

Contract-based position (independent contractor status). Flexible scheduling; hours depend on class demand.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Calgary, AB T2A 5P1
