About the Role
As an intermediate tax accountant, you will service a portfolio of business clients with year-end financial statements, tax compliance and planning needs. You will work closely with the firm's partner and operation manager for providing excellent services to our clients.
What Your Day to Day Will Look Like
Prepare year end adjusting entries, financial statements and corporate tax returns
Review bookkeeping completed in various accounting software
Deal with clients on the front line and provide exceptional service to them
Correspond with customers to discuss, explain and advise on tax-related matters
Correspond with the tax authorities when required
Accurately prepare and file tax returns, forms, and supporting documentation in compliance with applicable regulations and within established deadlines
Work with partner on complex tax planning matters
Provide coaching and supervision to junior team members
Pitch in for matters relating to full-cycle accounting when required
What You Need to Succeed
You have solid understanding of personal and corporate income taxes
You have an educational background in accounting
You are customer-centered and confident in customer service and communication
You have 2+ years of tax experience working in public practice
You have experience negotiating tax audits with the tax authorities
You are exceptionally detail-oriented and organized
You are tech-savvy and are highly proficient in using Microsoft Office
You are able to multi-task and like working in a fast-paced environment
You know how to use Taxprep and Caseware or similar software
You are a problem solver and a good team player

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
