Bilingual Electronic Controls Specialist (Hydraulic Controls)

. The role must be based out our Brossard location (open for remote role within less than 50km from branch). The candidate must also be bilingual (French/English).

The Position:



Reporting to the Technical & Project Manager, the Electronic Control Specialist will be a leading contributor to our electronic control systems for Integrated Solutions across Canada. This will include developing innovative motion control solutions, programming mobile displays, ECUs, Micro Controllers & other devices. The ideal candidate must be experienced, result driven and team focused.

Responsibilities:



Create/manage development of project scope and functional specification documents Control system design and selection of components All aspects of application programming (ECU logic, HMI graphics, web-based APIs, etc.) Collaborate with teams across the organization, as well as vendors, to develop and deliver unique solutions to customers Create/manage program files and technical documents Electrical harness design and specification Provide support and expertise during project commissioning and aftermarket support Provide internal and external consultation on projects Utilize expertise of technology and applications to support sales growth Troubleshooting support for new and existing applications Stay up to date on the latest technologies while looking for opportunities to enhance Applied's product and service offerings. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:



Post secondary education in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering Degree or any Engineering Technology Diploma 5+ years programming ECUs or Microcontrollers on hydraulic and mechanical equipment is a must Extensive knowledge and experience in programming (CoDeSys, Plus+1, Qt, C, C++); programming in Danfoss Plus1 is a must Bilingual (French/English) is a must Strong understanding of electrical integration and development of wiring harnesses Extensive knowledge and experience with CANBUS communication is a must Microsoft office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint is a must Knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 13849, ISO 26262) is a plus. Electrification experience is considered an asset. Collaborative and able to develop/maintain relationships with ease inside & outside the organization Ability to communicate detailed information, frequently involving project needs and wants at all levels of the business Strong ability to deal with several projects simultaneously with a strong sense of urgency and ability meet absolute deadline Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot on-site and remotely Strong communication & presentation skills. Willingness and ability to travel as required (less than 25%)
